AIDS VANCOUVER ISLAND Member's Library
Library is open to all members. To become a member all you need to do is make an appointment for intake and to provide a Doctor's note stating that you are HIV or Hepatitis C positive. There is no cost for membership. There are many books available, as well as magazines, periodicals and some DVD's.

Airforce Museum Library
The Comox Air Force Museum is located in Canada, in the province of British Columbia, on Vancouver Island, in the ComoxValley, by the 19 Wing Comox/CFB Comox main entrance gate on the corner of Little River Rd/Military Row and Ryan Rd right across from the CANEX and Fitness and Community Centre.

Canadian Cancer Society Lending Library
Valuable books, tapes and videos available to the public, additional support, information and counseling are also available. Additional information is available on all types of cancer and cancer education for all ages.

Comox Senior's Association Library
The d'Esterre House Seniors' Centre was officially opened on June 25, 1975 by Lieutenant-Governor Walter Owen. The core group of 10 Senior Citizens has now grown to a membership of over 700. The Comox Senior's Association Library is available for use to it's members. Person's 55 years and up are welcome to become a new member. Membership costs 20$ a year. Their library includes: books, video's and DVD's, plus two computers are available. The library is open Monday to Friday during the Centre's other activities, check schedule of website, or call for more details. Comox Senior's Association has other great programs for Seniors that you'll surely want to check out!

Vancouver Island Regional Library - Comox Branch
The Village of Comox joined the Vancouver Island Union Library as a book station in 1937, but withdrew in 1957 and re-entered the system as a branch in 1972. The library branch has recently moved to its current location: 101 - 1720 Beaufort Avenue. Free wireless internet available.

Vancouver Island Regional Library - Courtenay Branch
On July 30th, 1936, the Courtenay library became “UNION LIBRARY” with Headquarters at Nanaimo. Later in 1951 the name was changed to the present “Courtenay Branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library”. The library branch moved to its current location in 2001. The branch’s striking architecture has made it a popular downtown attraction.

Vancouver Island Regional Library - Cumberland Branch
The Cumberland Branch library was first located in the old City Hall in 1947. Cumberland library briefly withdrew from the regional system in 1967, but renewed interest allowed for a new branch to open in 1975.

The Hornby Island library branch was served by the Comox Bookmobile until 1987 when a library branch was established. The branch moved in 1990 to its current location: 1765 Sollans Rd. Free wireless internet available.

Vancouver Island Regional Library - Union Bay Branch
The Union Bay library branch was established in 1949 and is currently the smallest library branch at only 300 square feet, and is adjoined to the Post Office. Free wirless internet available.
